1. First, press the clock and then the week, hour, and minute to adjust the current time. Then, press the set button. When you see "1 On," you can press the week, hour, and minute to set the timer. Press set again to confirm. Then, press the clock to exit the timer mode. Immediately press set. You will see "2 On" and can set the timer again. Repeat this process until you have completed your settings. Finally, press set to check if you have missed any settings.
2. Under normal circumstances, a timer can typically be set for 20 time groups. Therefore, set the timer based on your needs. If you do not need as many groups, press the clear button to clear any extra settings. After successfully setting the timer, check to see if there are any remaining or incorrect settings to avoid affecting normal use.
How do I adjust the timer on a timer switch?
First, unlock the timer screen. Press the timer four times in a row. This will unlock the timer. If the timer remains idle for 15 seconds, it will relock.
To adjust the timer, first press the clock button on the timer. The screen will display "1ON." The "Hour" button resets the hours, the "Minutes" button resets the minutes, and the "Day of Week" button resets the day of week. Set the hours, minutes, and day of week according to your needs. Once the time is set, press the "Clock" button to complete the timer setting. The latest time will be displayed on the screen.
Pressing the timer button again will enter the second power on/off timer. Similarly, set the number of power on/off times based on your usage. Note that after the first power on time is set, pressing the "Timer" button again will display "1OFF" on the screen, indicating the initial power off time. You can adjust the time, minutes, day of week, and power off time according to your needs.
To reset multiple power on/off times simultaneously, simply follow the steps above. However, it's important to note that after configuring the timer switch, you must immediately press the "Auto/Manual" button on the switch. This will activate the "Auto" mode, and you'll now see that the switch has a timed on/off function.
Timer Switch Types
1. On-Delay Timer: On-delay timers are the most common and basic timers used in PLCs. In SIEMENS PLCs, this type of timer is called an SD timer.
2. Off-Delay Timer: This type of timer has no delay when input condition 00000 is ON, and only activates a delay when input condition 00000 is OFF. In SIEMENS PLCs, this type of timer is called an SF timer.
3. Maintained On-Delay Timer: This type of timer latches when input condition 00000 turns ON. Even if input condition 00000 turns OFF, the input condition remains ON. The timer activates when the current value equals the set value. In SIEMENS PLCs, this type of timer is called an SS-type timer.
4. Pulse-Type Timer: This type of timer activates immediately when input condition 00000 turns ON. However, after the set timer duration, even if input condition 00000 remains ON, the timer turns OFF. In other words, the duration of this timer's ON state is determined by the set value. If the duration of 00000 being ON is less than the set value, the timer remains ON for the duration of input condition 00000 being ON. In SIEMENS PLCs, this type of timer is called an SP-type timer.
5. Extended Pulse Timer: This timer differs from the pulse timer in that as long as the input condition 00000 is in the ON state, the timer remains in the ON state for a period of time equal to the set value, regardless of the duration. This type of timer is called an SE timer in SIEMENS PLCs.
